Welcome to LymeSpot revised

After the success of EliSpot, a method used to detect infections of Borrelia on a cellular level, we decided to introduce an updated version to our laboratory that gives us an even greater insight into the diagnosis and appropriate treatment of the disease: the LymeSpot Revised.

We can now determine whether we are dealing with an active or latent Borrelia infection, as well as evaluating whether the issue lies with a patient’s infection, inflammation or autoimmune processes.

While EliSpot is based on the production of γ-interferon, LymeSpot Revised also detects cytokine IL-2 and uses the ‘traffic light’ principle to indicate the appropriate course of action to take with each patient.
